The Waveform^® Gaussian A12 Panel was developed using RPG’s powerful shape optimization and aperiodic modulation technology, which optimizes sound diffusion while providing a given shape motif. The panels have an aluminum skin with a honeycomb core, creating a lightweight bell-shaped appearance designed to increase intelligibility and enhance musical clarity and intimacy. When absorptive material is placed into the rear cavity of the assembled unit in an overhead canopy configuration, significant reverberation time reduction in the space can also be accomplished. This symmetrical Waveform^® Gaussian A12 Panel can also be arrayed to reduce periodicity effects and be installed on walls or ceilings.
